Throughout each year, The Painted Turtle hosts special events and participates in fundraisers held by members of our local communities to benefit camp and increase awareness of our programs.

Thunder on the Lot – June 9th & 10th

The Painted Turtle is once again a benefitting charity of the 18th annual Thunder on the Lot event!  This is a family event with great entertainment and attractions for everybody such as: Motorcycle Show and Custom/Classic Car Show featuring Drifting Races, Import Car Show, Low-rider Car Show, Burn Out Contest, two Concert Stages of Live Music all day, Celebrity Appearances, Carnival, Green Energy and Natural Gas Vehicle Expo, a full-service cantina, various food booths, over 150 vendors and much more. General admission on Saturday (2pm-11pm) is $10 per person with ages 12 and under free. Sunday’s admission is FREE (10am-6pm)!

The Painted Turtle is selling raffle tickets which will directly benefit our camp programs.  Tickets are $100 and the winner need not be present to win.  To purchase a ticket, please email annk@thepaintedturtle.org or call 310-451-1353 x107.  Thank you for supporting our campers!

Turtle Greek Island BBQ – Saturday, July 28th

Come on out for the 8th annual fundraiser hosted at Camp by our North Los Angeles County Regional Board. This event promises to be a night full of excitement and adventure — join us for tours of camp, a VIP wine tasting room, dinner, live entertainment, dancing, silent and live auctions, a raffle, incredible prizes, and all-around Greek Island fun!

Camp Challenge Ride – Saturday, September 8th

Join our team for 18, 36, or 62 miles of riding through the beautiful California desert and raise funds for Camp while you’re at it! All riders can choose one of these three routes starting and ending at Camp, where you’ll be cheered on by lots of Camp supporters. Our annual event begins with a hot breakfast for everyone and ends with a celebratory lunch with family and friends.
