Run For A Reason

Register to run for The Painted Turtle! Participants can choose from the 5K on Saturday, March 16th or the Charity Relay and full Marathon on Sunday, March 17th. The Painted Turtle will support you from training to fundraising all the way through the finish line! The 5K and Marathon fundraising efforts will support our 2,000+ campers and families by ensuring they can continue to come to Camp free of charge. Be a part of our team because slow and steady wins the race!

Not a runner? You can support us! We need a team of people who can be there on race day to cheer on our runners, help fundraise and spread awareness for The Painted Turtle.

Please consider joining us for a really fun LA Marathon Weekend! In addition to marathon events, The Painted Turtle will also organize turtle get-togethers during the weekend. Run for a Reason + Good Turtle Friends = Really Awesome Time!

Choose your course below:

  • 5K (3.1 miles)
    • Saturday, March 16th, 8 am at Dodger Stadium
    • Registration fee $35
    • Fundraising goal for participants: $200
    • Run or walk with friends!
    • Raising this amount will sponsor family weekend activities!
  • Marathon (26.2 miles)
    • Sunday, March 17th, 7:30 am at Dodger Stadium
    • Registration fee $145
    • Fundraising goal for participants: $1,000
    • Raising this amount will sponsor a camper to attend The Painted Turtle next summer!
  • Two-person marathon relay team (13.1 miles)
    • Sunday, March 17th, 7:30 am at Dodger Stadium
    • Registration fee $250 (for the team)
    • Fundraising goal for participants: $1,000
    • Raising this amount will sponsor a camper to attend The Painted Turtle next summer!
    • NOTE:  This is not a traditional half-marathon option, but will require a team of two people who each run 13.1 miles.

** Please note there is a minimum fundraising goal for all participants and this fundraising goal must be met by March 4th **
