Lace up your running shoes and get ready to RUN!  The LA Marathon has chosen The Painted Turtle as an official participating charity for 2010!

The marathon, scheduled on Sunday, March 21, has an exciting new course starting at Dodger Stadium, going through Hollywood, the Sunset Strip, down Rodeo Drive, and ending up at the Santa Monica Pier.  This new course "Stadium to the Sea" is sure to be a picturesque journey through Los Angeles.  

Not sure you can run the full 26-mile course?  Don't fret!  There is also a 5K that you can run/walk/wheel on Saturday, March 20 at Dodger Stadium.

Registration Steps:

  • Register with the LA Marathon at http://www.lamarathon.com/runner-info/register/.  Choose “Painted Turtle” in the list of charity codes.  Registration fee for the marathon is $125 and registration fee for the 5K Run/Walk is $35.
  • Next, register with Team Hole in the Wall at www.teamholeinthewall.org/LAMarathon2010 to utilize the fundraising tools to track your progress.
  • We have blocked off some rooms at the JW Marriott Hotel at LA Live in Downtown Los Angeles and at the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica.  If you would like to reserve a hotel room, visit http://www.lamarathon.com/runner-info/travel/ and enter the group code “PAINT”.  Rooms are available from March 19 through March 22, 2010.
