Throughout the year, The Painted Turtle enjoys hosting and participating in special events at camp and in our local communities. These events help us raise awareness and funding for The Painted Turtle camp and its campers and their families.

	Corporate Volunteer Day The Painted Turtle will hold a Corporate Volunteer Day at camp after the spring sessions. This volunteer day will take place on May 17, 2008 Spaces are limited. If you are interested please contact Michelle Plasse at michellep@thepaintedturtle.org
	The Los Angeles Regional Advisory Board will host its 2nd Annual Bon Appétit: a Chef Showcase dinner on Sunday, June 8, at Cinespace in Hollywood, CA. Guests will enjoy a three course meal prepared by talented chefs: Tim Schafer of Lake Norman, Stephen Rea of Cinespace, and Valerie Bolon, personal chef appearing on Top Chef Chicago. 	Thunder on The Lot The Painted Turtle will be participating in the 14th Annual Thunder on the Lot event to raise funds for charities in the Antelope Valley. The event includes bike and car shows, grandstand events, a performance by Foghat, and a raffle to win a Harley Davidson bike.
