Each Fall and Spring, Family Weekends at Painted Turtle give children with
medical conditions and their families the opportunity to retreat to nature, spend
time together as a family, and experience many exciting program areas including
fishing and boating, ropes course, horses, arts and crafts, woodshop, swimming,
performing arts, science and discovery, and more!
Other highlights include camp-wide events such as campfires, a carnival, and
skit night. Also included are opportunities for parent discussions and socials,
enabling parents to extend support to one to another, share stories, and connect
with other parents who have similar experiences.
Our dedicated community of volunteers serve as “Pals” to our families
throughout the weekend, welcoming our families to camp, helping to engage
campers in laughter and play, and giving families the best weekend possible!
