Camp Gets a Fresh Look

Post

The Painted Turtle campsite in Lake Hughes may not be hosting campers at the moment, but it is bustling with activity thanks to our Operations team!  A variety of projects are underway to ensure the site is ready to go once the campers can return in person. The team has constructed and refurbished pathways throughout Camp, the gym floor and pool were resurfaced, and preparations are underway for the construction of an amphitheater and an accessible tree house.  Every building has been cleaned top to bottom, all closets are organized, several areas received a fresh coat of paint, and thanks to some beautiful landscaping, the grounds look brand new.

In addition to making sure Camp looks great, the Operations team is also working hard to add additional safety features including new handwashing stations, touchless hand sanitizer and soap dispensers, HEPA filters throughout Camp, as well as a stock of PPE supplies in preparation for future onsite programs.

To top it off, they have also packed, sealed, and sent Camp care packages to campers and are helping to fill all the incoming online Camp Store orders!
