The Painted Turtle is pleased to announce the addition of three new members to the Board of Directors. Their unique expertise and skillsets will be a tremendous addition to the organization, and we look forward to their impact on our mission.

GINA BIBBY

Gina is a Partner at Withers Bergman LLP where she specializes in technology, fashion, and fashion technology, helping clients protect their innovation through commercial agreements, and patent, trademark, and copyright procurement and litigation. She leads a global practice focused on advising fashion tech clients on matters involving corporate formation, venture capital, corporate transactions, real estate, privacy, e-commerce, intellectual property, and more.

Gina is recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as a 2021 Minority Leader of Influence and was named to The American Lawyer’s Trailblazer West list.

DOUGLAS MCNEELY

Douglas McNeelyDouglas is Managing Director, and Head of the Strategic Client Coverage Group at BlackRock, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with institutional investors, specifically public and corporate pension plans. Douglas serves on several executive committees for BlackRock including: the firm’s Global Operating Committee, Alternatives Product Committee and Human Capital Committee. In addition, Douglas serves on several investment committees for the firm’s alternatives investment platform, including the BlackRock Impact Opportunities vehicle, where he was the architect. He also serves on the Executive Committee for the firm’s Black Professionals Network.

Douglas was a member of the Duke (his alma mater) Men’s Varsity Basketball Team (1980-1984) and Team Captain in 1984.

TINA M. POMPEY

Tina is Principal Counsel, Intellectual Property at The Walt Disney Company.  In this capacity, she handles all trademark matters for National Geographic Partners and Marvel. 

Her daily work includes clearance of new names, titles, logos in all applicable jurisdictions for new content, channels, and consumer products. She also handles claims, and manages opposition, cancellation, and infringement proceedings worldwide.

Tina began her legal career in the trademark area with the U.S Patent and Trademark Office where she held a variety of positions including Attorney-Advisor with the Office of Legislation and International Affairs (“OLIA”). 

She is active in the International Trademark Association, Corporate Counsel Women of Color and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.  She is currently secretary of the Black Women Lawyers Foundation of Los Angeles. Since 2017 she has been listed as one of the Top 300 World’s Leading Corporate Trademark Professionals by the World Trademark Review.
