Camp Participants

While The Painted Turtle plans for all Camp sessions to run on schedule and for the entirety of the program, for the safety of all participants, there are a few circumstances in which we must cancel camp or end camp early.

Cancelling Camp

The Painted Turtle will cancel a camp session in advance for the following reasons:

• A COVID-19 Outbreak on-site or among staff
• Unable to fulfill essential staff roles to safely implement the program
• High community spread of COVID-19 and/or direction for the State of California or LA County Public Health Department to cease operations.
• Inclement weather forecast, including temperatures of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher

Ending Camp Early

If a camp session is already in progress, The Painted Turtle will end a camp session early for the following reasons:

• A suspected case of COVID-19 on Camp*

*Please note, all participants are required to provide their own transportation to and from camp, and will be asked to leave Camp immediately if there is a suspected case onsite.
