The 2024 season is underway and our first-ever Young Adult Leadership Weekend was the perfect kickoff to our 20th year! From start to finish, the weekend created magic moments and fun memories for the participants, volunteers, and staff. Keep reading for just a sample of some of the highlights!

20 years of Camp and Community

On Friday night during the official weekend kickoff, we went through each year of Camp and had people raise their hands if that’s when they came to Camp for the first time. The incredible part here is that between the staff, volunteers, and participants, we were able to cover every year from 2004 to now. Not only did the weekend cover many years of Camp, it also covered many different medical diagnoses and sessions, which allowed for reunions amongst old friends and wonderful opportunities to make some new ones.

The weekend featured many fun Camp activities, team-building opportunities, and workshops: Life skills, dancing, boating, wood shop, arts and crafts, horses, pickleball and rock climbing wall in the gym, ropes course, stage night, and more!

The volunteer group was incredible, including many Camp volunteer veterans, creating a memorable experience for all. Everyone loved the weekend and it was a great success! The feeling was spectacular and we hope to continue it in the future.
